Some clients wait to pull the trigger on scheduling their photoshoot, especially for grad shoots. Photoshoots are an investment, both financially and in terms of your time. It's totally normal to be on the fence about scheduling but it's better to do so sooner rather than later. Here's why:

Save Money by Booking Early
During the peak season for your desired photo package (e.g. March-May for grad shoots), availability may be limited and photographers can even raise prices as a result. Getting your booking request in early will give you more dates to choose from versus waiting to book later in the season, and your wallet will thank you.

You'll Get Your Photos Back Faster
Booking early means your photographer will prioritize your edits. When photographers have more time on their hands to edit, that means you get your photos back faster. This also leaves plenty of time for you to review them, and if there are any revisions you'd like your photographer to make, they will have more flexibility to do so.

You Have More Control Over Your Shoot
Getting on your photographer's calendar early leaves room for contingency plans in case of foul weather and other uncontrollable factors. For grad photo clients, midterm and final exam schedules tend to overlap with peak grad photo season. Give yourself more time to study (or to simply enjoy your final weeks as a college student). You'll also have more time to review your final images with your photographer and request any additional edits you'd like them to make.
